Cast your own movie!

Heh - I was just daydreaming (procrastinating), and thought of a few people I would love to cast in a movie together. Not sure what the movie is yet, but my cast so far is:

- Katee Sackhoff
- Clive Owen
- Hayden Christensen
- Masi Oka

The list is to be continued. I was thinking of people who aren't huge names yet except in genre fan circles of course, and perhaps with the exception of Clive Owen who is becoming more well known. Maybe Masi is now too. Hmmm... who else?

Who are you casting for your movie?

LOL @ Hayden's flower pose

LOL @ Masi's Hayden shirt

I'm casting Danny Trejo, Mickey Rourke, Sherilyn Fenn, Gong Li, Jason Statham, Lance Henrickson and Shia le Beof- and it's a remake of Seven Samurai, in Mexico .

Woah! Nice! Once Upon Seven Samurai in Mexico mash-up perhaps?

I was just remembering that I want to cast Gary Oldman too, but he's too well known. To Gary and Clive's non-defense however, they are not A-List stars. Nevertheless, that'll be another movie.

On a separate note - I am giving Flash Gordon a second chance tonight (what else you gonna do on a Friday night when you have to be at work 7am on Saturday)... and I think it might be growing on me. It's sorta kinda charming in it's own cheesy sci fi channel show kind of way.

Oh, and speaking of Li's - I got Jet, so you can tell your agents to back the frak off nob :p

nob01 said...

Meh - I dropped Jet after he said no more kung fu epics - bang goes my Crouching Wombat, Hidden Sausage plans...

And I did indeed try Flash again - and it is too shitty for me to even speak about it...

Gah!

Darth Hiram said...

Haven't even tried Flash once yet. But I'll take your word for it and perhaps steer clear.

hmmmm ... making my own cast ... does it have to be relatively unknowns, or can I throw in a celeb or two? I will think upon this and come up with my dream cast!

For the new musical film adaptaton of my off-off-off-off Tatooine production of "Sarlacc's Last Jam", I plan on casting Sarah Polley as Leia, Mark Hamill as Luke, Bobcat Goldthwait as Boba Fett, myself as Han Solo, and the late Leona Helmsley as the sarlacc. :D

yeah... i think you really have to be in a certain mood or mindset to take in flash. i was enjoying the intentional campiness of it all for awhile, then... i got distracted by something :p

omg - it's your movie DH! cast whoever you frakkin want :D

nob - but jet only announced dropping martial arts epics to deter "your people" - he's in production for hidden for the forbidden kingdom as we speak and i got my peeps on him ;)

lolo - i dunno how much more off tatooine you can get than that pitt. and waaaiiit a minnut! how come mark gets to play luke, but no carrie for leia?? >:( ah - i guess it's *your* movie/musical :p

News Update.

Sherilyn Fenn has pulled out due to a copy of 'Boxing Helena 'resurfacing - and has rapidly been replaced by Eva Mendes, Salma Hayek and Gina Gershon - who play a three way love triangle.

The film has also been retitled:
The Magnificent Nine Mexican Samurai.

Hey, I'm just tryin' to throw our homie Mark some work! :p

ah - i guess it's *your* movie/musical :p

That's what you think, lady... you're directing! :O

ok ok ... I see how it works now.
In my movie, then, Ghostbusters 3, The Return of the Staypuft Marshmellow Man, I'm casting Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Eddie Murphy and Keith Richards making his mega-movie debut in the 'busting roles. They keep mistaking Keith Richards for one of the poltergeists, however, which he continually tries to sue them for, providing more light comedy relief.

And marking the return of the Marshmellow Man is Hulk Hogan to provide a leaner toughness to the character.

ha! sounds like a great part for keith. i'm often not sure if he's still alive, especially in pirates 3.

suddenly i'm hungry for s'mores

magnificent 9 mexi samurai eh? sounds like another opportunity to make a soundtrack of beatles cover songs to me.

we just signed on ralph nadar to play the evil wizard. sure we haven't even got a script yet, but we'll tailor make the part for him.

That's what you think, lady... you're directing!

umm, ah..

Just a quickie - I see you have the lovely Clive in your cast list, jk - we just got back from Shoot 'Em Up, and let me tell you, just so long as you park your brain in the foyer, you will never have a more fun-packed time at the movies this year short of playing the hotdog trick on old ladies.
Loved it!
Go see it!

Hansgirl3 said...

Ok, I'm making Rambo 900 with Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. I haven't gotten past him yet. I'm still drooling...

starthunder said...

if shoot 'em up is as slick and purty as the trailer looks, i'll be watching! it *looks* good!

LOL@ hg drooling :D

*pokes at pitt to see if he's still out*

I would cast the following in any movie...

Harrison Ford - Quite the distinguished gentleman

Matt Damon
Ben Affleck

Minnie Driver (loved her in Good Will Hunting and Phantom of the Opera)

Ummm....

Tommy Lee Jones - He's got a rough sort of aura about him.

Russell Crowe.... Excuse me, I am going to drown in drool now. =D

Sarlacc-Pitt said...

Ouch! Who in the hell just poked me?!

And how did I get on the floor, and who drew a mustache on my face??

:p

Ooh! Just remembered... Sarah Polley backed out (she'll never do lunch in this town again!), so I am casting Gloria Stuart as Leia. And Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan are all going to play Jabba the Hutt tied together.

.. just got a fax. Don Imus has signed on to play Lando.

Russell Crowe.... Excuse me, I am going to drown in drool now.

*throws hansgirl a life preserver*

Right. I'm the one in the Mark Wahlberg drool drowning frenzy.

Of course, there's always my ever-faithful Harrison Ford. I'm always covered in drool there. :D

He will naturally be cast in my movie. Female leads? Ahhh, who needs 'em. ;)

starthunder said...

*abruptly tears up contract with WOV's movie and starts macking on hansgirl's project*

lol - i think we all need life preservers since this place is filling up fast with all the drooling going 'round! :0

Darth Hiram said...

Ha! No drooling here ... except for the fact that I just signed the soon-to-be winner of Big Brother (doesn't matter who *crosses fingers it will be Evel Dick*) as uber-villain "Rocky McChocolate" in Ghostbusters 3. He'll fit together nicely with Hulk Hogan as the Marshmellow Man.

Sarlacc-Pitt said...

Ha!

Ooh! Cast me as Walter Peck! Cast me as Walter Peck!

:D

You go, girl!
